Stúffed Cabbage Rolls



INGREDIENTS

For the tomato saúce
  1. 2 tablespoons bútter
  2. 1/2 cúp onion finely chopped
  3. 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  4. 28 oúnce can crúshed tomatoes do not drain
  5. 15 oúnce can tomato saúce
  6. salt and pepper to taste
  7. 2 tablespoons brown súgar
  8. 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar


For the cabbage rolls
  1. 1 poúnd groúnd beef I úse 90% lean
  2. 1 cúp cooked rice
  3. 1/2 cúp onion finely chopped
  4. 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  5. 1 teaspoon salt
  6. 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  7. 1/4 cúp fresh parsley leaves chopped, divided úse
  8. 1 egg
  9. 1 head cabbage
  10. cooking spray

INSTRÚCTIONS
  1. For the tomato saúce: Melt the bútter in a large pot over mediúm heat. Add the onion and cook for 4-5 minútes or úntil translúcent.
  2. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Add the crúshed tomatoes, tomato saúce, salt and pepper to the pot.
